We use VoiceThread in a lot of our EdTechTeacher workshops as it is completely web based and now includes an iPad app. As a tool, it can create digital stories, be used for foreign language exercises, or support the creation of collaborative study aids. This library is a database of articles about successful VoiceThread projects.

instaGrok | A new way to learn
This is a great new search engine that displays facts based on a concept web rather than just giving links to other sites. The sites, images, videos, and quizzes that it does reference are appropriate for students rather than just the entire web. Thanks to Richard Byrne at Free Tech 4 Teachers for sharing this first.

This app has been featured in the Apple iPad commercials for teaching young students to write their letters. Beyond the ability to trace, the app also records letter sounds, names, and phonograms.
