3rd Grade – Myth Project Part 3

Now that we have all of our work organized, it’s time to start writing. We are going to use the Book Builder. Here’s how it works.

1. Click this link to go to the Book Builder login Screen
2. You will have to login to the website. The user name for everyone is martin and the password is 3rd.
3. Click on the link to Create and Edit Books
4. Click on the View/Edit button next to the book that has a title with the name of your creature.
5. Now, we want to create a title page. For now, we are just going to use text. We will add pictures later.
• Choose Title Page from the Layout Column
• Click on the TOP Add/Edit Text button
• Type the title of your book
• Use the Font buttons to format your text
• Click Save
• Click on the BOTTOM Add/Edit Text button
• Type your name
• Use the Font buttons to format your text
• Click Save
6. Let’s add the first page of our book.
• Click the Add a Page After button
• Click on the TOP Add/Edit Text button
• Type the title of your book
• Use the Font buttons to format your text
• Choose your layout – either Picture Left or Picture Top. Again, we will add pictures later.
• Click on the BOTTOM Add/Edit Text button
• Type the BEGINNING of your story from your sheet. Make sure you begin with “Back in Dreamtime” and that you introduce your main character.
• Use the Font buttons to format your text
• Click Publish
7. Keep adding pages to write your story.
